About
Christopher P. LaCross, MD
Internal medicine physician, HIV and HCV clinician, LGBTQ+ health advocate, and founder of Amp Clinic, a direct primary care clinic built around time, trust, and practical medicine.
Clinical style
Direct, thoughtful care for adults who want a physician who pays attention.
Dr. Christopher LaCross practices internal medicine with a focus on HIV, hepatitis C, LGBTQ+ health, prevention, and adult primary care. His approach is plainspoken, relationship-based, and built around helping patients understand the why behind decisions.
Amp Clinic was created for people who want more continuity than the usual system offers. The model gives clinical questions room to breathe, which is annoyingly useful when the job is caring for actual humans.

What patients can expect
A physician relationship that is honest about options, limits, and tradeoffs.
Clear explanations
Plans should make sense. That includes what is being checked, why it matters, what it costs when known, and what would change management.
Respectful care
LGBTQ+ patients deserve primary care that is clinically competent, confidential, and normal. The bar should be higher than not being terrible.
Systems literacy
Good care includes knowing how labs, referrals, insurance, pharmacies, public health programs, and patient constraints collide in the real world.

Community work
HCV access work informs the way Amp Clinic thinks about care.
Outside of Amp Clinic, Dr. LaCross serves as medical director of Lifeline Health, a nonprofit focused on hepatitis C treatment access throughout Florida. That work is separate from Amp Clinic, but it reflects the same clinical philosophy: reduce barriers, treat people directly, and stop making patients fight the system before they can get better.
Primary care works best when it respects the patient in front of it and understands the larger systems shaping their options.
Clinical focus areas
Internal medicine with a practical, inclusive center of gravity.
Adult primary care
Prevention, chronic disease, medication review, symptom evaluation, and care coordination.
HIV and HCV informed care
Primary care with awareness of antiretroviral therapy, hepatitis C treatment, liver health, prevention, and stigma.
LGBTQ+ health
Affirming care, sexual health, PrEP discussions, STI testing, and routine medicine without the side order of awkwardness.
